William Eugene Washam, born June 19, 1925, in Metropolis, Illinois died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
His remains will be laid to rest with his wife Peggy at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Douds, Iowa at a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spina Bifida Association at spinabifidaassociation.org or 1-800-621-3141.
