EWING, Missouri ? William ?Bill? Clifford Ferguson, 63, of Washington, formerly of Ewing, Missouri, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 23, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with the Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Williamstown, Missouri. Visitation was held from 2 until 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Kenneth Ferguson Jr. for a memorial to be established at a later date.
Mr. Ferguson was born March 5, 1952, in La Belle, Missouri, the son of Kenneth C. and Mary Madeline (Fields) Ferguson. He married Marilyn McCarty in 1975.
He moved to Ewing in 1956 with his family and attended Ewing Elementary School, graduating from Highland High School in 1971. He moved to Iowa in 1977 and was an entrepreneur of a successful horse-training business. For the past 15 years, he worked for Eichelberger farms in Washington.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Ferguson Jr. of Ewing, Missouri; one stepson, Travis West of Iowa; three sisters, Karen Wallace and husband Jim of Holden, Missouri, Elaine Annese of Sherman, Connecticut, and Sandra Schondelmeyer and husband Bruce of O?Fallon, Missouri; one brother, Dennis Ferguson of Quincy, Illinois; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
