William Joseph Heisdorffer

KEOTA - William Joseph Heisdorffer, 100, of Harper, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Keokuk County Hospital in Sigourney following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Harper, with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Powell Funeral home in Keota, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

      Mr. Heisdorffer was born Dec. 18, 1907, in rural Clear Creek Township, Keota, the son of Michael and Anna (Spanier) Heisdorffer. He married Marie Cecilia Hammes on Sept. 4, 1930 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek. She died on Sept. 25, 1974. He married Viola Anna Hammes Conklin on June 14, 1975 in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. She died May 9, 2007.
