William M. Douthart Jr. January 4, 1951 - May 18, 2005

William Merle Douthart Jr., 54, of Bonaparte, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Forbes Cemetery north of Keosauqua. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his mother, Verna Coleman of Bonaparte; three sisters, Carol Douthart of Bonaparte, Connie Allen of Unionville, Mo., and Linda Douthhart of Fairfield; and three half brothers, Ronald Coleman of Mt. Pleasant, Donald Coleman of Ottumwa, and Michael Coleman of Bonaparte.

      He was preceded in death by his father and long-time companion, Sherene Thompson.
