William P. Slobodnik

William P. Slobodnik, 68, of Council Bluffs, died July 1, 2000.

The funeral Mass was July 5 at St. Peter?s Church with Father Chuck Kottas officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #2. A wake service was July 4 at 7 p.m. at Beem-Belford Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter?s Church building fund.

Mr. Slobodnik was born February 14, 1931, the son of Frank and Anna Pavelich Slobodnik.

He graduated from Neola High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and was a member of American Legion Post #2.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Slobodnik, of Malvern; three brothers, Donald of Council Bluffs, James of Mt. Pleasant, and John of Neola; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
