William R. Stonehouse August 1, 1938 - September 19, 2003

      William Richard "Dick" Stonehouse, 65, of Montrose, died on Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The graveside service with military rites will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 at the Keokuk National Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Hamner officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and the Lee County Hospice.

      Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jeanne Stonehouse of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Will and his wife Virginia Stonehouse of New London, Tim and his wife Kim Stonehouse of Eldon, and Steve and his wife Pam Stonehouse of Burlington; a step-daughter, Kim Peterson of Milwaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Louise and her husband Glenn Harvey of New Boston, Joan and her husband Allan Elmore of Houston, Texas, and Sharon Stonehouse of Burlington; and a brother, Rodney Stonehouse and his partner Mark Simmons of Iowa City.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
