Willie Taylor

      Willie Taylor, 77, of Washington died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 in the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Dean Elmore officiating. Visitation will be held prior to and following the service in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Greater Antioch Baptist Church in Rock Island, Ill. with funeral services held at 1 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Jarrod Parker. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Taylor was born April 28, 1929 in Greenville, Ala., the son of Tom and Edie Bell (McDowell) Taylor. He married Tracy Beliel on June 14, 1984 in Rock Island, Ill.
