Wilma A. McDowell

Wilma Anita McDowell, 85, of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of Ft. Madison, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Barr Memorial Chapel in Ft. Madison. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Bob Joseph officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Aug. 7, 1923, in West Point, the daughter of William and Stella Jacobs Coleman. She married Martin Yurth. After his death, she married David Kirshingner. After his death, she married Bruce McDowell.
