Wilma Alice Koehler

      Wilma Alice Koehler, 97, of Washington, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following complications of a broken hip.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Wollenberg and the Rev. Nancy Oehler officiating. Burial will be in Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Sunday, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4, Sunday afternoon. A memorial has been established for United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

      Mrs. Koehler was born Jan. 19, 1908, in rural Wayland, to George Fremont and Christina Bell (Loder) Barr. She married Peter Carl Koehler, Feb. 27, 1930, in Washington. He preceded her in death in 1992.
