Wilma Ivorine (Oxley) Bannister

      Wilma Ivorine (Oxley) Bannister, 89, of Washington, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a brief decline in health.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, in the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer and the Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the United Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.

      Mrs. Bannister was born July 16, 1918, in Franklin, Ill., the daughter of Richard Benjamin and Coila Wanda (Howser) Oxley. She married Russell G. Bannister on June 9, 1946 in the Fullerton Avenue Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Ill.
