Wilma Margaret Haynes
Wilma Margaret Haynes, 68, of Burlington died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2000, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Interment will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Friends may call until 8 p.m. this evening in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10. A memorial has been established to Dr. A.J.'s Cancer Fund and Great River Medical Center Home Health Care.
Mrs. Haynes was born Feb. 13, 1932, in Brashear, Mo., the daughter of Bernard Michael and Lela Juanita Mitten Eagen. She married Henry "Hank" Haynes on April 30, 1955, in Kahoka, Mo. Her husband was from Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Brashear High School in Brashear, Mo. She worked at IRC for 18 years, retiring in 1982. She was baptised, confirmed and given First Communion at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Adair, Mo. She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and the 40 and 8 Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, M. Eugene "Gene" Haynes of Burlington; one daughter, Beth Douglas of Burlington; two sisters, Carmelita McVay of Kirksville, Mo. and Wilda Moore of Burlington; two brothers, Harold Eagen of West Burlington and Bob Eagen of Burlington; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son; an infant daughter; an infant brother; two brothers, Gerald and Leon; and two sisters, Lucille and Collene.
