Zella G. Beal

      OSKALOOSA-Zella G. Beal, 92, of Washington, formerly of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at the Washington Care Center in Washington.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Alvern Boetsma officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Good News Chapel.

      Mrs. Beal was born on Sept. 1, 1914, at Taintor, the daughter of Henry M. and Pheobe (Minner) Sams. She married Jarrett L. Beal on Sept. 8, 1934, at Lancaster, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1976.
