Zenas Haeffner March 27, 1919 - January 13, 2004

Zenas Haeffner, 84, of Donnellson, died at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Donnellson Health Center.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the Rev. Judy Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. as well as from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A memorial has been established.

      Mr. Haeffner was born on March 27, 1919, near Donnellson, the son of Robert and Emma Honadel Haeffner. He married Arlene Herdrich in Kahoka, Mo. on May 28, 1940. He worked for 40 years for the former Ideal Feed and Grain Mill in West Point, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Franklin. He loved fishing year around, working in his garden and yard and playing cards.
