Zona Marie Widmer

Zona Marie Widmer, 83, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at the Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the First Baptist Church in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Widmer was born Oct. 5, 1925 in Noble, the daughter of Henry J. and Lenora (Boshart) Yoder. She married Harlan E. Widmer on Dec. 14, 1949 in Eicher Church in rural Wayland.
