Aug. 1-7 is National Farmers Market week. The best way to celebrate is to visit and patronize the wide variety of vendors at the Fairfield Farmers market. Fairfield’s Farmers Market has been going for 25-plus years. The fresh produce and other family farm products, along with locally made pastries and other treats, are all world-class.
Buying fresh and buying local is good for our health, our community and for the hardworking small farmers and entrepreneurs who make the Fairfield Farmers Market happen, week in and week out, rain or shine.
Coming to the Fairfield Farme’s Market is a great way to see friends in an open-air setting that’s always a lively scene. Local clubs and entertainers put on outstanding displays and shows.
All in all, the Fairfield Farmers Market is well worth a visit every Wednesday and Saturday. Saturdays, come to Fairfield’s Howard Park, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Wednesdays, come to the town square, corner of Court Street and Burlington Avenue, 3-6 p.m. See you there.
