Confused about culture

I?m confused. Those who know me might say, ?That?s nothing new,? but please bear me out. I?m primarily speaking to my brothers and sisters in Christ. There?s a lot of talk about gun rights lately. I?m confused. Those who know me might say, ?That?s nothing new,? but please bear me out. I?m primarily speaking to my brothers and sisters in Christ. There?s a lot of talk about gun rights lately. I have an image of a person wearing a shirt that says, ?I love Jesus? and with a clenched fist they are shouting ?Right to Life? and in the other hand they are holding a gun. This is confusing to me. It seems absurd to the point of hypocritical. People can make some unsafe decisions and people with guns can be dangerous. Guns are WMDs because bullets fired from guns have probably killed more people than bombs or nuclear weapons. I?m confused how Christian culture and gun culture can go hand in hand. Some may say X, Y, or Z kill as many people as guns, but guns are created for one purpose, to fire a bullet that damages, destroys, injures, or kills. I doubt you can say that about X, Y, or Z. Guns are inherently dangerous and lethal. People say guns don?t kill, people do. This is deceptive. People can have evil intentions, people with guns can very easily turn their evil intentions deadly. Would Jesus have guns? WWJD? Does a lifestyle in God?s kingdom include guns? If Christ?s Spirit is in us then aren?t we to be calling out God?s eternal intentions and image of us to be fulfilled in Christ and live a lifestyle of God?s kingdom now? With today?s economy I can see some having the idea to hunt to supplement their food supply. In this case I hope they secure their guns to make them virtually inaccessible to others due to them being inherently dangerous. But, the Lord provides for His people. I don?t have the answer but if we are one with the Lord then let His Spirit lead us.
