To Whom It May Concern:
May I offer a few ideas as a practical resolution to the ?new? Y building.
Construct a retractable roof at least 18 to 20 feet high over the existing municipal pool. Open during the summer and closed during the late summer, winter and early-spring months. No reason for a new pool, assuming the municipal pool is in very good to excellent condition. The pool is already there; thus make greater and more use of it year-round.
Install a heating system to maintain a constant comfortable temperature all the time in use.
Construct a new facility to the north of the pool for the various activities intended. Connect the building and the pool with a hallway.
Accessibility will be much more convenient to the general public than the proposed ?new site.?
It appears that there is plenty of parking already in place ? maybe more to the east and/or to the south.
It is very possible that building and maintaining a new pool would be a major expense. Why not use what is already there?
If my suggestions or ideas have already been considered by the board of directors, then I thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Al Kinzler
