A while back I attended a memorial to Ione Burham, a lady and her husband I?ve had the pleasure of knowing for years. She was the most honest, educated, disciplined religious person. When she spoke or wrote, she had the facts. The stories she wrote or told weren?t bent or distorted to please someone.
If you missed the service you missed a lost music art. The bell ringers who gathered, students she had taught, came from across the country to play to honor her. They put on a command performance.
I thank people like Ione for their dedication to the idea of life, liberty and justice for all.
