Motorcycle safety includes wearing a helmet
N/A

To The Editor:
The article headlining the May 2 edition of The Washington Evening Journal declares 'May Is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.” It discussed road and weather hazards when driving a motorcycle. It mentioned leather as the 'official uniform” of a motorcyclist. But it left out a very important part of your uniform, the helmet.
If you elect to ride a motorcycle and do not want to wear a helmet, please check your health insurance policy to confirm it covers surgical intensive care services you someday might require.
