Moving toward a dream of spring

What to write about on another cold winter day in Iowa? I would like to applaud all of you who have survived this harsh winter. So many of you have come to the desk with such a great attitude and a smile. Thanks for keeping our spirits up with your positive attitude during a rough time.
We all know it will be spring soon. The birds seem to be singing encouraging songs to help us hang on for warmer weather. We have gained so much daylight since December. Moving our clocks ahead this weekend, will make our evenings even brighter.
So as we wind down this final chapter of a winter we won't forget, how about stopping in to check out some of our flower, and garden books? It is never too early to start thinking about those plants, and flowers you want to grow in your gardens this year. We have a nice collection of books on the subject located on the second floor. We promise it will get you through the month of March and into spring.
When you stop in the library be sure to enjoy the stringed instrument display in our front case. The display is a part of Clyde Pearce's collection and includes several stringed instruments and accessories.
