Many people in our county have asked me why I don?t write letters to the editor anymore. My answer is that I do not feel safe in expressing my opinions.
The people in power in our county frighten me.
My opinions, gripes, and views may differ with ?THEM? and I don?t want to feel their wrath or revenge.
?They? dictate a different criterion of freedoms ? our/my freedoms to express our/my ideas or just plain do not agree.

Sincerely yours,
