To the Editor:
Thank you to the RAGBRAI committee members, subcommittee members and hundreds and hundreds of volunteers who worked tirelessly to prepare for ?RAGBRAI Coming to Washington.? Your commitment and efforts are so appreciated ? and what a success the event was ? you did an amazing job and should be so proud of yourselves! We heard tons of positive comments from bikers and support vehicle people alike: Your downtown square and Sunset Park are beautiful ? prettiest we?ve seen all week; your entertainment was fabulous; your signage was the best ever; your residents are so incredibly friendly and kind; your town thought of everything!
We personally enjoyed our RAGBRAI guests ? those in our home and our tenters, too. We loved being able to share ?ourselves? and our home and it was fun to meet these new people. They were so incredibly appreciative of our individual and our community hospitality.
Thank you to all who helped to make Washington RAGBRAI possible ? it was a great community event and it reminded each of us how special Washington, Iowa, and its residents really are!
