We have great police in Washington

My daughter-in-law, myself and two grandchildren were recently hit by another car on our way into Washington (thankfully no one was hurt). What I want to comment about is how nicely the police of Washington handled the situation.
We called the police, and they quickly came, did their job, and even asked my 3-year-old grandson if he would like to sit in the police car and turn on the lights (he was thrilled).
He was so patient with each party involved, told us all what the next step in this situation was and explained everything. We in Washington need to remember that we have great police and to appreciate all that they do.
