Lady Tigers roll past HLV
Dec. 21, 2022 10:53 am
The Lady Tigers improved to 8-1 with a 51-24 thrashing of HLV Friday night.
Although the victory was never in question, the Lady Tigers know that they must continue to focus on improving their free throw shooting, which they were 9 for 29, if they are going to come out on top in a close game.
“All we can do it keep practicing and keep looking for ways to figure it out,” said Coach Behrens. “No player steps up to the line with the intention of missing a free throw.”
Senior Macy McMann led the team with 14 points which included four threes on the night. Junior Lola Frimml chipped in 10 points, and sophomores Izzy Kriegel, Lydia Kriegel, and senior Rylee Seye added 7 points apiece.
“It’s great getting Izzy back from illness and adding depth to our bench,” Behrens said. “Kennady Rathjen who has been out with a knee injury is starting to work her way back into practices and we will have her back after the holidays.
“We have a lot of kids who have the ability to contribute, and we have been blessed that if one person is struggling, we have others stepping up to fill the void.”
