UnityPoint Health — Grinnell welcomes new doctor

GRINNELL — UnityPoint Health-Grinnell welcomes April Forsyth to the Grinnell Family Practice Clinic.

Forsyth will see patients on the third floor of the Ahrens Medical Arts Building at 202 Fourth Avenue in Grinnell, adjacent to Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Forsyth joins Kate Beyer, PA-C, Jake Boyer, PA-C, Heidi Klingelhofer, DO, MPH, and Kristin Phelps, PA-C, in the clinic practice, UnityPoint said in a press release.

Forsyth received her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Iowa and completed a family medicine residency at Iowa Lutheran Family Medicine in Des Moines where she was chosen as chief resident by her faculty and peers. During residency, she was also chosen for the Nellie Smith Award by faculty members for her excellence in patient care and bedside manner.

Forsyth relocated to Grinnell with her fiance, Jacob, and their dog, Jed, UnityPoint said. She looks forward to getting to know the Grinnell community and surrounding communities.

Forsyth enjoys reading and traveling. Her latest outdoor adventure was to Olympic National Park in Washington. She also enjoys strategizing in board games like Catan, Ticket to Ride or Splendor.
