Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Psalm 100:2,4
A grateful heart worships the Lord with gladness. Be honest; are you glad whenever you enter into God's presence to worship him? Or, do you approach God more out of duty? Do you gather for worship because you want to be where God is? Outside the church, do you gladly approach God?
A grateful heart worships the Lord with joyful songs. Does your heart swell with joy when you sing unto the Lord? If not, why not?
Praise naturally flows from a grateful heart. In order to worship the Lord sincerely from a grateful heart full of praise, we must live each day giving thanks to the Lord for the gift of our salvation, the multiple blessings he bestows on us, and the glorious future that awaits us in heaven above.
Don't go through the motions of worship; worship the Lord from your heart. Joy to the world, the Lord has come to dwell with us, to be with us, both now and forever. Praise his holy name!
