Brighten someone’s day

As Door Dash delivers food, may God’s people deliver the Light, Love & Life of Jesus Christ. Let’s make deposits of God’s goodness into others’ lives.

Where? a) Your home, b)workplace, c) community, d) and as Jesus said “ALL the World.”

We all deal with times when we may feel mistreated, so how should we respond God’s way when we are disrespected?

Luke 6:31, 36: Do to others as you would have them do to you. Be merciful, like your Father is merciful.

Ephesians 4:32: be kind, tender, forgive like God forgives you.

KINDNESS is complimented by FORGIVENESS.

Jesus displayed COMPASSION everywhere He went.

Compassion means going out of the way to relieve the pains of others.

Compassionate people Show mercy to others and live kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Our Faith life works by LOVE!

Kindness is … GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BRIGHTEN SOMEONE’S DAY!

The Body of Christ must SHINE JESUS’ LIGHT LL OVER Southeast Iowa.

Jesus is the LIGHT “I am the Light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the Light that leads to Life.” JOHN 8.12

Since Jesus is the LIGHT, His will is for us to be Like HIM! Yes, He wants us to be Light too! Christ stated:

MATT 5:14-16: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill can’t be hidden. 15 Men don’t light a candle and put it under a basket, but on a candlestick. It gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Let IT shine! Your Light is for glorifying the Father, not self!

Much like the correlation between the sun and moon. What gives the moon beauty at night, even daytime?

Answer: the sun. Does the moon actually shine? It actually reflects and returns the light of the sun is all. Without the sun’s radiance, could we SEE the moon?

Also, without the Son of GOD’s Light, what’s really seen in us?

As the moon reflects the brilliance of the sun, may we reflect God’s glory around SE Iowa and the world!

2 Cor 3.18: with unveiled faces, we all REFLECT LORD’s Glory- we’re being Transformed into HIS likeness [developing more like HIM] with ever-increasing glory, which comes from GOD.

WE get to reflect JESUS’ LIGHT, Kindness and HIS JOY!

The Lord commanded, “I have set you as a Light to the Gentiles, that you’d be for salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47

We learn that in verses 44-49 is when the Gospel spread around the region.

What kind of LIGHT brings Salvation? Light that penetrates and pierces the darkness.

Like a Beacon at Airport = plane safe to land here. Emergency vehicle flashing lights = danger, accident.

I’ve set you as a Light to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.

You were once darkness; now you are Light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (not darkness). Ephesians 5:8

Your Challenge- K-1-N-D. Think of, pray for and reach out to 1 person to deliver the Light, Love and Life of Jesus Christ this week.
