Challenge yourself to be bold

In Acts 4, the Apostle Peter and John were brought before the Jewish leaders and questioned about healing the man born lame. After all, the healed man was standing right there in front of them and there was no denying it.
But what the Jewish leaders said about Peter and John is what caught my attention.
The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13 NLT
The apostles' boldness stood out to the members of the council, men who would have been opposed to the followers of Jesus. They also noted that they had been with Jesus.
The apostles were bold because they had seen Jesus resurrected from the dead. They had been with Jesus prior to his death, and following his resurrection. If you had seen someone killed on a cross, buried, then they came back from the dead, wouldn’t you be bold about it too?
I’m challenged by this. Am I bold in my testimony for the resurrected Lord? Is it evident to others that I have been with Jesus? Have you trusted the resurrected Savior to take away your sins?
Challenged to be bold,
Tye Male
