I see You!
Parson to Person
Pastor Don Brown, First Assembly of God Mt Pleasant

We can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone and unseen.
Most of my early years I struggled with insecurity. Some people would say I was just an introvert, but the truth is I felt insignificant and socially handicapped.
As we dig into the book of Hosea I see a God who is entirely focused upon every individual personally. At first reading it seems God is harsh and low on compassion.
However, God calls Hosea to become a “living sermon” by taking a woman as a wife that he knows will betray him.
As much as this is about God and His people whom He is “married “ to, it is just as much about Hosea and Gomer.
God doesn’t use, control or manipulate people like they are a commodity to be used and then disposed of.
God sees a woman who is in desperate need of unconditional love.
Gomer is a woman who has been broken and used by men. Gomer is a woman who due to prolonged brokenness has accepted her condition as normal.
God sees Gomer and sends a man to love her unconditionally! God sent a man who would never give up on her despite her brokenness and the heartache that brokenness would cause him!
God saw our brokenness and sent His Son to be a “living sermon!”
Jesus is the God that loves us unconditionally. God sees those of us who have accepted our broken condition as normal which continues to bring destruction into our lives.
The good news is we no longer have to remain broken!
We need to receive the love of God in Christ Jesus and remain in covenant with Him!
Join me in renewing our covenant relationship with Jesus by choosing to worship Him daily! When we do “He heals the brokenhearted!”
