In our Homes as it is in Heaven
PARSON TO PERSON

God’s institution of family is a key foundation in our society. It always has been. We must make sure it always will be! Now, more than ever, the family is under attack from hell — rebellion, domestic abuse, divorce, social media madness.
Lord, may Your kingdom come and Your will be done, in our Homes as it is in Heaven. Let’s allow the presence of Heaven into our homes every day.
Psalm 112:1-2 paints a portrait of a Godly Home.
Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments.
His seed, descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
For all children, Prov 10:1 states, “A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.”
Children choose between wisdom and folly. My wife and I have established five expectations to strive to live by according to scripture as a family of four: love, unity, respect, wisdom and honesty.
EPHESIANS 6:1 “Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do.”
In Christian homes, parents must know their role and help kids know their role.
We must start children on this path of God in our homes now! Train them to obey your voice, so they will obey the Holy Spirit’s voice when they leave as young adults and spread their wings.
For parents, Ephesians 6 instructs: “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them… bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.”
Don’t exasperate them, but bring consistent discipline to their lives until they implement consistent personal disciplines.
I thank GOD for how my parents raised us in a Christian, God-fearing home.
What happens in your kids’ future if you spare the rod, and spoil the child? Or you do their homework for them? Or you never let them fail? Are they truly prepared for adulthood? A responsible parent allows a responsible child do as much independently as possible!
Invest wisdom, encouragement, love, guidance, God’s Word into these precious gifts of GOD! Deuteronomy 6:5-7, says “…you must love the LORD your God with all your heart…commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children…”
God’s Word must be the foundation for your family and home.
How do we spell LOVE? T-I-M-E. In your family, pour time into each other and build each other up in Love. What does it profit a man to gain the world (in career, wealth, fame), but forfeit his family? Wife? Kids? What are parents raising? Children? No, every parents’ quest is raising adults! As they mature, set them up for success, yet allow them opportunities to fail. When they DO fail as young adults, they grow from it, not fear it.
Finally, make love deposits daily, and avoid withdrawals.
Your child is like a piggy bank, so you make deposits or withdrawals in their love accounts with each word and interaction. The most vital deposits parents can make are: Jesus, Holy Spirit, Prayer, Word, encouragement, wisdom.
Our first ministry is to Father God! Our second is our spouse, third to our children… then God’s calling or vocation. Please prioritize God first, and don’t let the career monster rob you of those who are truly precious gifts.
Heavenly Father, may Your kingdom come and Your will be done, in our Homes as it is in Heaven. May You bless us indeed with prosperity, strength and good health, and may our spirit and soul prosper each day, so Your love and unity abide in our hearts and homes. In Jesus’ name, so be it.
