Jesus is seeking to live resurrected in us

Parson to Person
"Why should I worship a dead Jew?" This was the question posed by a young Jewish man who had been attending Billy Sunday meetings.
Alfred Ackley who had been working with Billy Sunday had overheard this young man and this stayed on his mind.
After hearing a radio broadcaster announce on Easter that it didn't matter if Jesus didn't rise from the dead Ackley became even further agitated.
Later that evening his wife would encourage him to write a song that would make him feel better. The song he wrote – "He Lives!"
The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 lays out the evidence of the resurrection of Jesus through the Scriptures and through the eye witnesses that had seen Jesus, including himself.
The powerful truth of the resurrection of Jesus continues throughout every generation as Jesus continues to step into the life of every believer and introduces himself and says, "Hi, my name is Jesus and I am God!"
Why should we think it strange that Jesus desires to "walk and talk with me" as the hymn that Ackley so powerfully conveyed? The truth is Jesus has promised to appear to believers who love Him.(John 14:19-24).
The first reason that Jesus appears to us is because He is alive! No other faith or religion can claim their leader has and continues to appear to their followers.
Christianity without a risen Savior that reveals Himself would just be another dead and powerless faith, but ours is not!
Jesus also appears to believers because He simply loves us! No relationship will survive without ongoing communication and commitment. Jesus is committed to this relationship He initiated with us.
His love was demonstrated fully at Calvary and continues throughout our journey here on this planet until we arrive safe at home in Heaven!
Thirdly, Jesus appears to believers because we need encouragement and comfort!
Many of the encounters that Jesus had with the groups of people the Apostle Paul mentioned was for the purpose of encouraging and comforting.
One of the encounters Jesus had with Peter (Jesus appeared more than once to many of the believers) was to restore him with the "Peter, do you love me?" series.
Alfred Ackley declared in his song "Jesus walks and talks with me…You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart!" Jesus is seeking a conversation with us!
Jesus is seeking to live resurrected in us! Are we listening? Or are we just hearing noise?
We need to evaluate the level of resurrected life we are living.
We need to embrace the abundant life Jesus promised by embracing Jesus in His fullness!
We need to experience resurrection power daily through letting Jesus live resurrected in us!
