2023 Pekin senior Andrea Hoy

Pekin senior Andrea Hoy is in the spotlight this week. She is the daughter of Michelle and Mike Hoy, and has one sister, Erica.
While in school Andrea has been involved in FCCLA, FBLA, Spanish Club, Cross Country Manager, Basketball, Speech, Drama, Quiz bowl, NHS, ByteJam, Iron Chef, Choir/Band, Marching Band/Pep Band. She has also worked at Loriann's, Dairy Bar, Starbucks, Riverside, and JCHC Hospital.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Doing the play "It's A Wonderful Life."
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I wouldn't change anything because everything happens for a reason.

What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Being able to do things and the people I do them with, but it'll be the last time I do that.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Dakota Bates — She is a fun and aware teacher and always knows how to be there for you.
What advice do you have for incoming high school freshmen? Do as many things as possible, especially things outside of your comfort zone.
What are your plans after graduation? Iowa State University
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Scuba Diving
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? France, because they have good food.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why? Myself- I'm a very strong and independent person and I always know what I want to do.
