Apr. 6, 2023 11:14 am
Brooke Miller is a 2023 Pekin senior. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Heather Miller. Her siblings are Brayden and Kayse Miller.
While in school she has been involved in Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Softball, Spanish Club, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, ISTEP, and Cross age mentoring. She also worked at Chommy’s as a cook.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Going to state for cross country.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I would have joined cross country my freshman year instead of senior year because I love the sport and love the team.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without…” Chocolate milk or chocolate milk shakes.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best part about being a senior is the thrill of knowing a new life is going to start but the worst part is the stress that comes with it.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Karlie Ann Wade because she also let me know that her door was open to talk about life or math. She really cared for her students and that was comforting.
What advice do you have for incoming high school freshmen? Get involved in as many activities as possible and get out of your comfort zone.
What are your plans after graduation? Attend Simpson to run cross country and major in elementary education.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? I want to race a dog sled team.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? A state that is always warm. I want to be tan all year-round and I hate the cold.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My family members. Like my grandma, mom, and dad because they work so hard for everything they want in life. They also work hard to take care of their families.
