2024 4-H/FFA swine show held at Keokuk Co. Expo Fair
The 2024 4-H/FFA swine show was held July 19, 2024, at the Keokuk County Expo Fair. 4-H/FFA members receiving purple and blue ribbons were: Harpyr Hinnah, McKinley Chittick, Maddyn Hinnah, Gamble Fry, Lucas Menke, Isaac Striegel, Brody Greiner, Taylor Woods, Madison Fry, Abe Axmear, Kimberly Clarahan, Kearney Greiner, Brody Seeley, Colt Reed, Brayden Wood, Landon Clarahan, Emery Hall, Colten Voyles, Drake Seeley, Teagan Swearingen, Lexi Swearingen, Maesyn Bain, Everett Hinnah, Levi Voyles, Trig Lee, Cooper Linder, Stephen Jacobs, Cory Clark, and Kinzee Greiner.
Overall Grand Champion Breeding Gilt was won by Colt Reed, Patriotic Panthers 4-H. Overall Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Gilt was won by Madison Fry, Stick-to-It 4-H; third Overall Breeding Gilt was won by Isaac Striegel, Keota FFA; and fourth Overall Breeding Gilt was won by Madison Fry, Stick-to-It 4-H.
Senior Swine Showmanship was won by Isaac Striegel, Keota FFA. Intermediate Swine Showmanship was won by Gamble Fry, Stick-to-It 4-H; and Junior Swine Showmanship was won by Levi Voyles, Patriotic Panthers 4-H.
Champion Swine Carcass was won by Kimberly Clarahan, Lafayette Feeders 4-H. Reserve Champion Swine Carcass was won by Colt Reed, Patriotic Panthers. Top Ten Swine Carcass awards went to Kimberly Clarahan, Colt Reed, Cooper Linder, Madison Fry, Landon Clarahan, Colt Reed, Madison Fry, McKinley Chittick, Brody Seeley, and Gamble Fry.
Champion Market Barrow was shown by Brody Greiner, Keota FFA; and Reserve Champion Market Barrow was won by Colt Reed, Patriotic Panthers 4-H.
Champion Commercial Breeding Gilt was won by Colt Reed, Patriotic Panthers 4-H; and Reserve Champion Commercial Breeding Gilt was won by Madison Fry, Stick-to-It 4-H.
