2025 Baumert-Brock Reunion held

The descendants of the Oscar and Bessie Baumert and the Horatio and Matilda Brock families met for their annual reunion, Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Hinshaw Shelter in Richland, IA. There were 49 in attendance. Following the blessing by Gene Baumert and a reading by Jo Baumert, a bountiful, cooperative dinner around 12:30 was enjoyed by all.

Loretta Streigle was the eldest in attendance and Charlotte Cosgrove was the youngest in attendance (see photo). Traveling from the furthest distance was Kirby and Debi Baumert of Jamestown, MO. A guessing game was played and Patty (PK) Hotka was named the winner, being closest to the correct number of M&M’s. Bingo was played and prizes were selected by the winners. Picture taking and visiting rounded out the day.

The 2026 reunion will be held, the second Sunday in July (which will be the 12th) at the Hinshaw Shelter in Richland, IA.
