4-H Junior Camp open for registration
Apr. 13, 2023 12:08 pm
Keokuk County 4-H has opened registration for the county favorite, regional 4-H Jr Camp. It is set to be a two-day and one-night camp held at Crooked Creek Camp outside Washington, June 6-7. Current 4-H members in 4th-6th grade are invited to register for this experience in the outdoors to learn new skills, make 4-H friends and memories for a lifetime. This camp is hosted by Region 19 counties including Washington, Johnson, Keokuk and Iowa.
This day camp will run June 6, 8:30 a.m. to June 7, 4:45 p.m. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from camp. Participants will experience fishing, canoeing, outdoor nature waterslides, art, science, dancing, smores and more. It is expected that participants stay for the entirety of camp and are not able to come and go to other activities. If youth have other commitments during that time, it is suggested they wait to register for a year when they can participate fully.
Final registration cost is $175. Scholarships are available upon request to jrabell@iastate.edu. The fees for service will be used to offset direct expenses and to support the 4-H Youth Development County Extension Programs.
