A look back at Pekin’s first semester
Pekin's Resource Officer, Jefferson County Deputy Angie Pohren, visited with the kindergarteners one afternoon in September.
At the December Pekin FFA meeting, members made tie blankets. They later donated the blankets, as well as some of the left over apples, oranges, and grapefruit from their fruit sales, to Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. One of the foundations of FFA is service to the community and helping students realize the value of helping other.

Pekin graduates AJ Neff and Dalton Vetter brought a John Deere combine to school to show the students what it is used for and how a combine works. The two farmers talked about how important farming is in our community and what is expected of them on a daily basis.
