A magical Journey to the Washington County Fair for Kids Day

Come and enjoy Kids Day at the 2022 Washington County Fair on Wednesday, July 20. This fun event is hosted by Washington County Hospitals & Clinics as a day sponsor for the Washington County Fair with assistance from Washington County Extension, Farm Bureau Financial Services- Ann C. Williams Agency, Washington Lions Club, Washington County Conservation, Washington County Public Health, Family Connection, and the Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
The morning will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a variety of hands-on activities all over the fairgrounds. All kids, aged preschool through fifth grade, are welcome to come, learn, and have fun! Participants may come and go to the following activity stations anytime throughout the morning until 11 a.m.:
•Popcorn is provided, courtesy of the Washington Lions Club.
•Join the Horse and Pony Club for games at the Horse Barn! Pony rides are also available and sponsored by Farm Bureau Financial Services — Ann C. Williams Agency.
•Complete an obstacle course, learn about aspects of farm safety, play unicorn and dragon toss, and create your own crown, dragon, or unicorn with Washington County Hospital and Clinics.
Other kids activities throughout the day include:
•Visit the round barn from 9 a.m. — 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. — 7 p.m. for hands-on agriculture learning through Little Hands on the Farm hosted by the Washington County 4-H ELITE team.
•While at the round barn, visit Ms. Diane at 4 p.m. for Ag Hour. The topic of the day will be beef. Ag Hour lessons also include trips to the livestock barns for up close animal learning.
•Visit 4-H Hall from 1 p.m. — 3 p.m. for STEAM Adventures about topography, water table exploration, boat race competitions.
