Adalia Keith is the daughter of Quentin and Katie Keith and older sister of Dominique, Divya, and Téo. She describes herself as sarcastic, childish, and determined. She says that her parents are her biggest influences. “They’ve taught me to work hard, be respectful, be humble, and always show compassion and love towards others.”
Adalia was involved in many activities throughout her high school career. These include cross country, volleyball, dance team, theater, group speech, individual speech, band, choir, chamber choir, jazz band, color guard, FCCLA, Spanish Club, and being the leader of Diversity Club. She also worked as a student employee at Pilot Grove Savings Bank and as a barista at Starbucks. She advises underclassmen, “don’t build your personality from the people that surround you. Be your own person; it’s okay to be different.” Adalia’s favorite memory was hard to pick, but she decided that it was the van ride home from the senior honor band at Winfield.
“We meet no ordinary people in our lives,” said by C.S. Lewis, is Adalia’s favorite quote. If she could travel anywhere, she would choose Italy. “It looks beautiful and it would be interesting to spend some time taking in another country’s culture.” Given the opportunity to meet anyone, past or present, she chose her grandpa’s parents after hearing stories from her mother about how caring they were. Next year, Adalia plans on attending University of Northern Iowa to double-major in theater and music education. We wish her luck as she goes on her way.
