Adventures at the Lake rescheduled

Adventures at the Lake is a one day, one night camp tent camping experience for all youth in 5th, 6th & 7th grade. This camp will be held at Lake Belva Deer Park (19366 242nd Ave Sigourney, IA 52591) In partnership with the Keokuk County Conservation. All youth who have completed these grades are all able to join the adventure. Lunch on the 23rd will need to be brought by the youth all other meals and snacks will be provided.

Sessions for this camp may included: Canoeing/kayaking, learn the basics of water safety and paddling while wearing a lifejacket. Fishing, learn the basics of casting lures and bait. Archery, archery safety and see if you have what it takes to hit the target. Camp cooking, learn the basics of cooking over a camp fire, how to start the fire, prepping the meal and cooking it. Prairie walks, see what lives in or around your hometown, and so much more!

Adventures a the Lake has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 26 at 8 a.m. to Wednesday, July 27 at 9 a.m. and is $50 to attend. For more information about this camp, contact the Keokuk County Extension Office at 641-622-2680.
