Aerial Applicator Continuing Instruction Course now available

Washington — Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Washington County will host an Aerial Applicator Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday Dec. 13, 2023. The program is provided by the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP).

The course will fulfill 2023 continuing instruction requirements for commercial pesticide applicators certified in category 11. Some of the topics covered will include information personal protective equipment and safe handling; storage of pesticides, including chemical security; and pest management.

The local attendance site is 2223 250th St Washington, IA 52353. Preregistration is required sign up at https://go.iastate.edu/CYMWKJ. Walk-ins are not guaranteed admission. The course runs from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. To obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Holly Beinhart at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Washington County at 319-653-4811. The registration fee is $45.
