Area Food Pantry Information

The area food pantry is in the Richland Methodist Church in Richland. For anyone needing help go to the Fellowship Hall door that is located on Richland St. on the west side of the church. Food pantry hours of operation are Tues. and Wed. 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Thur. 5-7 p.m. Office phone 319-456-2251, emergency contact 641-919-5573. This is a Partner Agency with the Food Bank of Iowa.

Keokuk County Historical Society

The Keokuk County Historical Society is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If school is canceled due to weather, the Historical Society is closed also. Arrangements for visiting other days can be arranged by calling 641-622-3005, please leave a message and a volunteer will return your call. Come see our museum or do genealogy research.

Hedrick Winter Bingo Schedule

Bingo will be played at the Community Center, 109 N. Main St., on Saturday, 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, and 4/25. Rounds 1-9 and 11-20 will be $.50 per card or three for $1. 50% of pot payout per game. Round 10 is Blackout $1 per card, 50% of pot payout. Round 21 is Picture Frame, limited number of balls called. Full list of rules available to view at City Hall and at each Bingo night. Concessions will be available: $1 each for soup, hot dogs, chips, pop, water, and candy bars.

The Richland City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, January 12 at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Richland Community Club, Tuesday, January 13

The Richland Community Club will meet on Tuesday, January 13 at Richland United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The meal ($15/person) will begin at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Contact Jeannie Pedrick 641-919-6607 or Alisa Tolle at 641-814-2310 for meal reservations.

Packwood City Council meeting, Tuesday, January 13

The Packwood City Council will meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. in the Packwood Fire Station Community Room.

American Legion Post 504, Monday, January 19

Richland American Legion Post 504 will meet on Monday, January 19 at 7 p.m. in the Richland United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Visitors welcome, refreshments will be served.

The Hedrick Public Library hours: Mondays 2-6 p.m., Tuesdays 8 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays noon-4 p.m., Thursdays 2-6 p.m., Friday 2-6 p.m.
