Area Food Pantry Information
The area food pantry is located in the Richland Methodist Church in Richland. Anyone living in the Pekin School district has access to this resource. For anyone needing help go to the Fellowship Hall door that is located on Richland St. on the west side of the church. Food pantry hours of operation are Tues. and Wed. 9-11 a.m. and Thur. 6-8 p.m. Office phone 319-456-2251, emergency contact 319-750-2631. This is a Partner Agency with the Food Bank of Iowa.
Keokuk County Historical Society
The Keokuk County Historical Society is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Arrangements for visiting other days can be arranged by calling 641-622-3005, please leave a message and a volunteer will return your call. Come see our museum or do genealogy research.

The Packwood City Council will meet in regular session on Tuesday, February 13 at 7 p.m. in the Packwood Fire Station Community Room.
Pasta and Pops Spaghetti Supper, Friday, February 23
Pekin’s Eighth Grade will be serving a freewill spaghetti supper in the High School Commons area on Friday, February 23 from 5-6:45 p.m. before the Pekin JH/HS Pops Concert. Come enjoy a delicious meal of pasta, garlic bread, and dessert, and then stay to enjoy the Pops Concert. This freewill supper supports the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. and New York.
White Elephant Bingo at the Richland Library, Saturday, February 24
The Richland Library will be hosting Bingo with a twist on Saturday, February 24 at 1 p.m. This will be a White Elephant Bingo party. Everyone brings a gift with them, something they own and no longer need but that someone else can use. It can be practical or silly. Richland Library to hold All Iowa Reads Book Discussion, Wednesday, February 28
Bring a sack lunch and mug to the Richland Public Library and join us for a discussion this year’s All Iowa Reads book, The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at noon. This will be a “smack and chat” program in the library’s meeting room and we’ll provide the hot beverage. Pekin After Prom Can Drive, Saturday, March 2
Pekin After Prom will be collecting cans, and plastic and glass bottles on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to noon. Please have glass separated and boxed if possible. Pekin’s A Night of Theatre, Saturday, March 23
Pekin Performing Arts will be their annual A Night of Theatre fundraiser on Saturday, March 23 beginning at 7 p.m. in the High School Commons/Stage area. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the dessert bar while watching the Large-Group and Individual Speech performances. Admission is $10/adult, $5/ages 3-12, free/ages 2 and under.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join us at the Richland Library for snacks, stories, crafts and games on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m.
Richland Public Library's Tiny Tots, Wednesdays
Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join us at the library for songs, circle activities and play on Wednesdays from 3:15-3:40 p.m. Class size is limited, please register in advance at the library.
Teen-Time at the Richland Public Library, Thursdays
Students in 6th grade and up are invited to join us for snacks, games and time to hang out with friends on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.

The Hedrick Public Library hours: Mondays 2-6 p.m., Tuesdays 2-5 p.m., Wednesdays 12:30-4 p.m., Thursdays 2-6 p.m., Friday 2-5:30 p.m., Saturdays 9-11 a.m.
Hedrick Veterans Museum Hours
