Broc Latcham

In the spotlight this week is Pekin graduate Broc Latcham. He is the son of Tony Latcham and Joy Latcham. He has three brothers, Brady, Brandt, and Brently.
While in school he was involved in 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, Speech and Drama, Football, Basketball, Track, and Baseball. He has also worked as a Hog Confinement building employee, at his own rock-spreading business, his custom hay bailing business, and as a Latcham Family Farms manager.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Jamming out before football games with the boys.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I would have taken more Indian Hills classes earlier in my high school career.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without…” Agriculture.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Worst thing is all of the sports are coming to an end.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? My FFA teachers had the biggest impact on me with all of the adventures we went on with Mr. Jones.
Advice to incoming high school freshmen: Don't skip school you might need it.
What are your plans after graduation? Going to DMACC to study animal science and then transfer to Iowa State after two years for Veterinary Medicine.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Probably go sky diving, which if you know me that is outrageous.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Right here in southeast Iowa and continue farming.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? Definitely both of my grandpas because they have both been a great example of honest, hardworking men.
