Chapter L Crawfordsville T.T.T. Society meets at Olds United Church of Christ

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society met Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of the Sword of Gold.
Six members answered roll call with "If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?"
Four guests, the group's two camp girls and their mothers were present prior to the meeting. The "Camp Shower" was held and the girls opened their camping items and interacted with members. Ice cream sundaes with a variety of toppings were served by Missy Fear.
Minutes: Nancy McGohan read April 2025 minutes and they were approved as read.
Correspondence: President Shelman read a few highlights from the "Tidings" and this Chapter was mentioned under the Violet Awards. The National Convention will be held Oct. 24 and 25 in Chicago. Edith from Colorado, who is 100 years old is still recruiting members and attending meetings. Eight chapters in Iowa and one in Illinois have reported to the National Office on new member recruitments.
The treasurer's report was given by Missy Fear.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Camp: President Shelman and Nancy McGohan took the girls shopping and out for a treat at Dairy Queen. They will leave June 8 and return June 13. Barb and Nancy will pick them up at 11:30 and take them to lunch prior to dropping them off.
Camp Girls' Gifts: None to report.
Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford reminded everyone that June 2 will be the evening to work at the Pizza Ranch in Mt. Pleasant and July 7 in Washington. There will be lunch at Addington Place on July 14. The menu was discussed and Joan Rodgers will do the Facebook announcement. The group will also do Pizza Hut, with the date to be determined.
OLD BUSINESS: President Shelman read an invitation from the Mt. Pleasant Chapter about their Founder's Day Celebration on June 3. It will be held at the Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant at 6 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS: President Shelman will contact the Wayland Chapter about the group's yearly get together. October was suggested to be a good month to try for.
BILLS FOR PAYMENT: Nancy McGohan presented one for camp girls clothing/supplies.
PROPOSAL OF NAMES FOR MEMBERSHIP: None.
ADJOURNMENT: President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ with Missy Fear as hostess.
The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed.
WHITE CLOUD CLUB
The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 9 a.m. at the Frontier in Washington.
President Betty Lintz opened the meeting with a reading, "You are in a small town if." Roll call was answered by saying "Your favorite outside space?" Members all had different special places, but all agreed they enjoy the space if it is bug free. Minutes and treasurer's report was given by Pat Miller.
Old Business: There was discussion of the club tour, several ideas were presented and this will be decided on in the near future.
Diane was presented with a Secret Sister Birthday gift.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dairy Mart. Margaret will be hostess.
A group picture was taken and will be sent to member Pauline Richardson.
Present to enjoy the morning were Jolene Colthurst, Diane Johnston, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson and Virginia Sands.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
"Let's TACO 'bout Jesus!" is the name of this year's Bible School at the United Church of Crawfordsville. It will be held July 7-10. More info to follow.
REMINDERS TO EVERYONE!
The COTTER Alumni will be gathering at the Pizza Ranch in Washington at 11:50 for lunch and a time of reminiscing on Friday, June 13, 2025. All are invited to attend. Those whose parents may have gone to school there or friends of alumni are welcome!
The CRAWFORDSVILLE Alumni will hold their 100th and FINAL meeting on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Pizza Ranch in Washington. All graduates and friends are invited to come share memories.
