May. 18, 2023 10:53 am
Early reading and language development help children be “school ready,” which increases their opportunities for academic success. Linking Literacy with Food: Read, Learn, Eat! teaches child care providers new ways to connect with children and incorporate food-related activities in lessons with children’s books. The training will be offered May 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office.
There is no cost to attend this program, Washington County Extension is sponsoring the program. All child care providers in the home day care, community day care, and preschool settings are welcome to attend. Find class details and registration information on I-PoWeR: ccmis.dhs.state.ia.us/trainingregistry/ or at Washington County Extension Office, 319-653-4811.
