Clarion-Plainsman office space closing; Paper will continue to publish.
Nov. 16, 2023 12:46 pm
The Clarion-Plainsman office space located at 107 Richland St in Richland (attached to the Federation Bank building) will be closing at the end of November. This will not change or otherwise effect the publishing of the newspaper, or the status of the C-P Editor, Melissa Robison.
“Changing technology making it easier for Melissa to work from her home in Richland, coupled with low visitor traffic to our office should make this a fairly seamless transition,” said Clarion-Plainsman publisher Matt Bryant. “Plus, as a business that plans to be around for the long term, we are constantly evaluating our expenses and directing resources to places that keep the paper healthy.”
Robison will still be available for in-person meetings by calling and arranging a time and place. She is also exploring options to have designated meeting times at yet-to-be-determined public locations. Times and places will be announced as they are secured.
The Clarion-Plainsman is a part of the larger Southeast Iowa Union which has offices in Fairfield, Washington, and Mt. Pleasant. Physical copies of the paper will be archived in Washington and can be picked-up or mailed out of that location. Other services will also be available out of those locations.
General questions about advertising, subscriptions or accounting can be answered by calling 319-456-5241. Robison can be reached directly at 319-359-7320 or email her at melissa.robison@southeastiowaunion.com
