County Fair Livestock Judging Contest invitation open statewide

Washington County 4-H has had both state and national level success in the livestock judging project area and they are excited to invite and host visiting judging teams during the Washington County Fair Livestock Judging Contest.

The Washington County Fair Livestock Judging Contest is Monday, July 18 starting at 12:30 p.m. Teams should check in at the main show ring announcer stand at noon. Teams may consist of 3 or 4 members. Schools may also send individuals to participate. There will be junior, intermediate and senior divisions. Species will include: steers, heifers, market hogs, breeding gilts, market lambs and breeding ewes.

All youth or adults will need to pay the fair gate admission. Team coaches should register by July 16 if possible to the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811, but day of registrations are welcome.
