Pekin FFA President Lilian Buie presented a proposal for a greenhouse renovation project to the Pekin school board in January. The renovation project will include an exterior reglaze, addition of ridge and side vents for natural ventilation, new heating unit, HAF circulation fans, and a new monitoring system. These renovations will help increase the utilization of the greenhouse beyond the spring plant sale. All photos submitted
Thirteen Pekin FFA members competed in the Iowa Pork Youth Judging contest last week. There were over 162 senior teams, and 706 contestants. Pekin had a 12th place team finish, Lilian Buie finished 63rd High Individual and Ryan Doud was 64th.
