Good things happening at Pekin

Pekin's junior high band performed before the football game on Friday, October 14.
The football cheerleaders held a cheer camp for any student in K-6th in October. The camp attendees cheered at the last home game last Friday.
Pekin senior football players and manger were honored before the game on Oct. 14. Left to right, Zachary Hadley, Broc Latcham, Brayden Greiner, Logan Baker, Ryan Doud, Joseph Coates, Blake Juhl, Quinnlyn Baker, Logan Lauderman, Luke Long, and Cade Bemis.
Among the seniors recognized at Pekin's last home football game last Friday were the cross country seniors Tayler McCreedy and Brooke Miller.
Senior band member Greta Moore was recognized on senior night last Friday.
Pekin's football cheerleaders cheered on the Panthers at last week's game. Left to right, Ayla Banes, Karissa McKim, Kayden Donovan, Payten Coleman, Panther (Sven Dahlstrom), Lila Miller, Kayla Bunnell, and Mika Keith. Senior cheerleaders recognized were Donovan, Bunnell, and Keith.
The Pekin Junior High Football Team was honored at half time of the Pekin varsity football game for being undefeated. The 2022 Pekin Junior High Football team coached by Matthew Jones and Josiah Sieren had a record of 6-0 for the season.
